about

"Disappear" is a song that takes you on a psychedelic journey of letting go and acceptance. I struggled with it for over a year and almost threw it out multiple times. However, there was something unique about the character narrating the song and the vibe that kept drawing me back. So, I decided to give it one last try - the fifth one - and that's when everything fell into place for me.

In the end, my journey recording the song matched the sentiment of the main character. I realized I needed to overcome my expectations and get out of my way to move forward.

lyrics

“Now it’s time you disappear
Like the lights upon my face.”
In just a second, I’m out of here,
In just a second, I’ll escape.

Can you find me?
I’m so hard to see
Up here in these clouds.

Many faces run through my day,
Blurred windows on a train.
All the signs, they read one way
Now it seems they’re rearranged.

Can you find me?
I’m so hard to see
Up here in these clouds.

That’s all I’ve got to say.
I guess it doesn’t matter anyway..

I live in Tucson and spent many years playing with various bands in Seattle, Sky Cries Mary being the most well know of the bunch. Recently I revived my long-dormant musical project, Head of Stars, and I will add things here as I record them.
